"Colors Flying" - Composing & Improvising Flute Parts for Rock Band - Live Play-Along with Music Video

- This workshop invites all skill levels to participate in a multi-media experience.

- This participatory workshop, rather than a traditional "lecturer and audience" setup, creates a circle where attendees feel included in a group music-making experience and leave not only with book-knowledge but also hands-on experience.
Who?
- Vic Wheeler: Vic is known for creating magical musical moments. Music is about collaboration, not competition... He empowers flutists to create lasting memories through the use of improvisation. In Austin, Texas he enjoys playing sound baths, kirtans, and with the rock band Cosmic Butterflies!
- Cabe Lindsay - Cabe is not only a guitarist & prolific song-writer, but also a film-maker, author, animator, & "rad dad!" His songs tell of his life & dreams from his heart to yours... in Austin, Texas, he leads the Cosmic Butterflies band!

Technical Requirements?
- Projector - This class is best with a projector. The "Workshop" Portion will include a presentation with sheet music & techniques
- The "Recital" Portion will feature the "Colors Flying" Music Video!
Amplification - Call me to discuss class/room and audience size to select the ensemble and equipment. Minimum setup is acoustic guitar and flute; let's discuss the addition of bass, drums, and additional strings & voices.
Timing?
45 Minutes - 90 Minutes: I designed this with a 1-hour time slot in mind, but it would be fun to extend this session to give attendees more time to participate. Please contact me about further options for "Recitals" - We have some flexibility with regards to timing, setting, & ensemble size, as well as many songs that I think align with your themes for 2024
